FBI questioned fringe Twitter ‘ironist’ Kantbot in March

He describes himself as a ‘respected artist and ironist, persecuted by the government’

Kantbot, a Twitter personality associated with the fringe right, was questioned by FBI agents based in both Chicago and New York this spring, Cockburn has learned.

When reached by phone, the Chicago-based investigator confirmed that they needed to speak to the man behind the account in March of this year, but declined to comment on the purpose of their inquiry.

Kantbot, who describes himself as a ‘respected artist and ironist, persecuted by the government’ was once interviewed in New York City casting pearls before swine, explaining how Trump would ‘complete the system of German idealism.’

According to Kantbot, the New York-based investigator scrolled through his Twitter feed while she asked him questions.

He provided the following emails to Cockburn. They were sent by an official at the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force on March 26:
